The Nicholson 35 is one of the most successful yachts built by Camper & Nicholson and a proven ‘blue-water’ cruiser. The 35 has a very attractive sweep to the sheer, nicely balanced overhangs and a low-profile cabin house that results in a handsome look that, although nearly 40 years old, does not seem dated or old-fashioned. ‘North Star’ has been fitted for a world circumnavigation, with new engine, new rigging, water maker, wind generator & new B&G chart plotter

The layout offers up to 5 berths with 1 separate sleeping cabin. The interior is well thought out and offers ample space for this size boat. There is full standing headroom throughout the main saloon. In the forepeak: a V berth with access to anchor locker and hatch to foredeck. Moving aft, there is a washbasin and shower to starboard. With a head to port. This is followed by the saloon with a bench seat to port to port and starboard. Plenty of storage lockers either side and under seats. Moving further aft the galley makes good use of available space to starboard with two-burner hob & oven, stainless steel sink with pressurised water. Cutlery and crockery included. To port is the navigation station. The cockpit companionway steps cover the engine compartment.
Located centrally under the cockpit is the NEW Beta Marine 35hp diesel engine installed in 2018, only 180 hrs. Last services Feb 2020. Hurth V Drive. Two blade 19” Propeller
Masthead sloop rigged with anodized aluminium mast and boom. Standing rigging 2018
Running rigging in good condition
North Star was fitted out for a round the world voyage with a new water maker, wind generator and chart plotter to name a few additions. The engine was brand new end of 2018 so under two years old and has only 180 hours on the clock. She also had new standing rigging in 2018 and a lot of running rigging renewed too. She has been copper coated and has a good solid hull. (I have owned her for the last 14 years and she has always been lifted every season). She has a wonderful self-steering set up called a Monitor which will steer her for days on end while the crew relaxes or attend to other duties. She has a full complement of sails renewed in the last 10 years and serviced regularly. The No 1 Genoa is new in 2018. She is a classic thoroughbred yacht, very much respected in the sailing community and I can vouch for her excellent sea keeping capabilities having sailed many thousands of miles in her.
North Star has a Bristish SSR registration and there are no known outstanding encumbrances
Nicholson 35 built in 1983 by Camper & Nicholson, North Star has a one piece GRP laminated hull, constructed to Camper & Nicholson's specification. She was copper coated in 2016
