Owning “Winter Dream” has been like having a cottage on the water for us. The boat is spacious, comfortable, sleeps 6 people in 2 state rooms and the main saloon. With a 12’ 6” inch beam she gains an exceptionally large interior for this size boat and with an oiled teak interior is warm and beautiful and at night with lights aglow is a wonderfully cozy and warm space.
The layout is ideal, parallel settees to the center line aft for more comfort than boats with aft head layouts. This also creates a large galley, large sit-down chart table where the most used areas of the boat are the most spacious and comfortable. Abundant storage throughout including a huge cockpit locker, 3 interior hanging lockers and other built in teak cabinetry. Besides having a wonderfully spacious interior - the cockpit is ergonomically suited and well thought out as well.
Being stoutly constructed, well-balanced and seaworthy, as a couple we sailed Lake Michigan and cruised port to port. For the most part “Winter Dream” was single and double-handed. It was how we spent our summers. We have loved her from day one.
We are the third owners. Bob Seger of The Silver Bullet Band had the boat built - it was then sold from Bob to a heart specialist in Green Bay and then we bought the boat in April 1995. The boat was tarped outside for a few winters - But mainly been in indoor storage. Washed and waxed every season. Engine maintained meticulously.
We are selling the boat because we have retired and moved to Door County where we have shifted gears and are pursuing other things. We have loved the boat and loved taking care of her and we are hoping to find a buyer interested in continuing her care where we leave off.
