This Tayana has the rare and preferred factory fiberglass decks.  She has upgraded stainless steel dorade vents with guard rails which provide ventilation when the breeze is up and keeps the sheets from snagging.  She has a true cutter rig with a harken furler.  The furling line for the staysail is smartly run to one of the upgraded Anderson Winches in the cockpit for safety.  Her push pit was replaced with oversized tubing and solid tubular rails run forward on both sides of the cockpit, the lifelines have been replaced as well.

Sails are effectively new and sail handling equipment is first class.  Lines are lead aft for ease of handling.   The standing and running rigging have recently been replaced as well her canvas.  The cockpit is protected by a dodger and bimini with a connector tastefully done in a tan Sunbrella.  She has custom davits with integrated solar panels, dinghy motor lift and a hydrovane self-steering system which has been modified to accept a raymarine tiller pilot for light air (very clever trick).  An AirX wind generator provides dc power while on the hook.  A recent windlass and a twin roller sprit make anchoring safe and efficient.

Interior accommodations of this Tayana 42 are nicely appointed.  Recent upholstery, LED lighting  and door hardware are just a few of the highlights that set this boat apart.  She has a true aft stateroom and a gourmet galley with an efficient and advanced refrigeration system.  Espar hydronic heat warms the cabin and the domestic hot water without the use of the engine or gen set while reverse cycle ac keeps the cabin cool.

Every detail of the boat was carefully scrutinized  during the refit and upgrades abound.  From tanks to the engine no item was ignored.  Please take a moment to study the details of this fine vessel, she is the ideal cruising boat for a couple or family heading for Maine or the Caribbean.
