Elements of Agape
Agape I was originally laid up in 1976 in Taiwan as a Stan Huntingford designed Offshore blue water cutter rigged cruising auxiliary. Bought in 1990 by the current owner because he was looking for a capable vessel with a deep draft, long keel, large lateral plane and an effective righting moment, all desired from earlier offshore experiences. These are also essential characteristics for working to windward in heavy conditions with a short handed crew and the ability to heav-to under survival conditions.
In 1990 the owner started an extensive rebuild, including new engine, shafts tanks, wiring, decks, chain plates, rigging, plumbing, counters, stove, refrigeration, floor boards, through hull fittings, pretty much the whole boat. He then started on the interior painting, soft goods, upholstery, hull above and below the water line. When finished you could consider it technically a new boat. Even today it has been kept in the highest state of condition you can find anywhere.
The interior layout is all beautifully finished in bright varnish solid teak. Start Forward is V-berth with custom mattress, New electric Flush head (Never Used) into a new holding tank, shower, storage drawers and hanging locker.
Behind the bulkhead is a full Saloon, with a dinning table for six and surrounding settee area, aft is a u-shaped Full Galley, and across is a full separated Navigation station
Aft of the companionway is the aft stateroom which has a double berth and a single berth, all with custom mattress. Private heads with a manual flush head and shower, Plenty of drawers and storage space for extended live aboard functionality.
On Deck you will find a spacious cockpit with separate combing around it, easy access to wide side decks which are clear of clutter, Foredeck is also clean, and easy All decks are 3/4" solid teak overlay, in excellent condition. Anchor and chain locker are easy to work with.
