THIS IS A PRELIMINARY LISTING WITH MORE INFORMATION COMING SHORTLY.
"Elsie J" is one of only ten Zimmerman 36's ("Z36's") produced between 1994 and 2007. Designed by Spencer Lincoln, the great minds behind many fine lobster boats, she is graceful in appearance, "But don’t let her handsome lines fool you - this is a workboat hull, shaped by the demands of commercial fishing and proven over decades of time," says the Zimmerman webpage.
Her spacious, comfortable main salon is flooded with light from enormous windows surrounding the entire deckhouse and swinging doors open onto her spacious aft cockpit. Off the cockpit is a new, custom walk-thru transom door to swim platform and Weaver Davit-mounted inflatable (with outboard, both brand-new and included in this sale). Below, the galley-down arrangement provides plenty of room for the chef to work and just forward are the head and very nice vee-berth cabin, with plenty of locker and hanging storage.
She is powered by a single Cummins FWC, 300hp 6CTA8.3 diesel engine driving a 4-blade Nibral propeller. Coupled with a useful Vetus bowthruster, she is very easily maneuvered, even in tight quarters.
