The Carolina Classics are known for being well built and able to handle any sea. The 280 Express is a true battlewagon capable of fishing long days off-shore while providing the confidence it will get you back.

The 28 is a machine totally designed and precisely built for one purpose: Offshore trophy fishing. Because fishing conditions vary, we offer a combination of twin engine power and drive choices. Conventional inboard or jack shaft to sterndrive. And long-range fuel capacity for all. Plenty of living room, too. A cabin with six feet of head room. V-berth with filler. Galley with microwave, sink, refrigerator and table. Full walk-in electric head with shower. And storage areas throughout. Best of all is how easy she is to maintain. The dry, oversized engine compartment provides roomy access to the hydraulics, pumps and batteries. The bilge runs in a tunnel underneath the gel-coated engine room, so all vital mechanics stay dry and clean. The air intakes are high above the sheer to keep corrosive salt spray out. Even the cabin walls are finished gel so they can be easily cleaned and kept free of mildew. The 28 is complete. There's a very short "extras" list.
This rugged, redesigned convertible is the heart of the Carolina Classic fleet of sport-fishers for serious offshore anglers. When she's running in the big water, it's hard to believe she's only 28 feet, but that she is - and able to keep up with the big boys with ease, too. This 28's cockpit, one of the largest in her class, makes most 40-footers envious. She's fast and dry, has plenty of working room, and includes more-than-ample storage, fish boxes and a spacious livewell.
There's plenty of living room as well. The big cabin has 6 feet of headroom for a completely comfortable space that includes a large V-berth with filler cushion; a galley with microwave, sink and refrigerator; a removable table in the dinette; and a full walk-in electric head complete with a shower. You'll also find plenty of storage aboard, including numerous secure rod holders. These amenities keep everyone happy on those weekend excursions.
What makes her really special, though, is that she's a Carolina Classic through and through. Her signature wide bow pushes aside the big seas and provides a soft re-entry. All fishing gear is the top-of-the-line equipment that serious fishermen demand.
The elevated helm deck keeps you dry and provides good visibility. Underneath, the huge engine compartment accommodates a wide range of power packages, so you can match it to your fishing conditions. And the amidships twin engines provide the power and balance to manage whatever Mother Ocean might give.
Tackle-rigging stations double as extra seating, while huge 50-gallon lift-out fish boxes fit flush in the cockpit deck, making it easy to boat a big catch. Fresh- and raw-water washdowns powered by high-capacity pressure pumps make cleaning up easy and fast.
Another notable feature - the oversize helm console - is large enough to accommodate today's 15-inch electronics displays with room to spare. And the Carolina Classic 28's helm station simply couldn't be easier to customize. The entire console folds down to provide full access to all wiring.
Sizable and fully functional, this model is complete; the list of "extras" is very short. The most popular add-on - the upper-station tower - gives the option of enclosing the lower helm deck while providing a complete second station above. It's rugged, all-welded-aluminum construction sports plenty of rocket launchers, along with Lee Pro outriggers.
Fast, rugged and easy-to-maintain - that's the hallmark of all Carolina Classic offshore fishing boats.
