ACCOMMODATIONS: The interior is all teak finished with Epifanes rubbed-effect varnish. The forward stateroom has an offset double berth to port with a custom inner-spring mattress, by Handcraft Mattress Company, Santa Ana, CA and custom day cover, that sleeps two very comfortably (measures 55" X 7'+). The berth is surrounded port & stbd. by open shelving for personal items. Below the mattress is a storage area, one of three SS freshwater tanks, a Cruisair reverse-cycle AC unit & pullout drawers. Additionally, there's a dressing seat with additional storage and a hanging locker. There is good lighting with overhead dome lighting, and a small, flexible, task lamp for reading. The reading lights in berths are by Littlelite Gooseneck Lamps. A teak door is located at the bulkhead for privacy. Opposite this bulkhead is the head. The toilet is a manual Raritan with standard bowl. The manual head was decided upon, as opposed to an electric, for simplicity of function, ease of owner maintenance/ repair, availability of parts and no demand upon house banks. A teak seat folds down over the toilet. There is a stainless steel sink, single lever fixture & mirror. Ample storage for toilet, towel, & personal items are behind counter top. The shower fixture is hand-held or adjustable wall mount. A concealed thermostatic /pressure balanced mixer by FM Mattsson allows an even & stable temperature setting. This mixer also serves the aft shower. The advantage of this system is that it can be preset which permits a person to shower without the necessity of fumbling with hot & cold adjustments. Below the sink cabinet are the 12V freshwater pump and water system manifold. The manifold is constructed with ball valves as opposed to gate valves. In the main salon the settee cushions are upholstered in Ultrasuede fabric. Primary lighting is provided by a dual power Alpenglow with night vision option. On low setting the power consumption is .3 to .4 amps. Night vision uses L.E.D.s for red and consumes approximately .1 amp. This is the most energy efficient light source available. A custom-built double leaf teak dining table is located aft of the mast with six wine bottle storage pockets. Storage areas are located under and behind the settee cushions port & starboard. A freshwater tank is located below the starboard settee cushions. This settee pulls out to form a sleeping accommodation for one with lee cloth. On the port side below the settee cushions are located a battery bank of three AGM 105 AH batteries, two hundred amp fuses for positive and negative feed, a Newmar shore charger, Xantrex battery interface and a six gallon water heater with heat exchanger and more storage area. The charger can handle three banks and provides a bulk, absorption and float charge and a maintenance charge to the genset battery. Voltage parameters can be set according to battery type. The 200 amp Xantrex battery combiner contains two heavy-duty solenoids and is used where there are multiple banks involved. A low voltage disconnect setting will isolate the banks prohibiting drain of one bank into the other. The connect voltage enable parallel charging and a high voltage disconnect setting disables the solenoids. Voltage settings are adjustable. This system was chosen for maximum charging and isolation resulting in always having a source to start the engine. The galley offers ample working surface area. It has a stainless steel sink and two foot pumps at the sink. A gimbaled Force 10 propane range is port side and includes a fume detection and control system. The cook top has a counter top cover. The Sea Frost refrigeration is an engine-drive system with shore assist. The fully-insulated SS ice box is located port side in the galley under counter top. Aft of the galley is a shower and wet locker. This was designed to provide a convenient location when coming below to remove wet clothing and take a hot shower. This shower is also controlled by the temperature/pressure mixer.
The nav. station is located on the starboard side facing aft. At this station is the main AC/DC distribution panel, battery selector switch, Pathmaker remote switch control, VHF radio, radar, chart plotter, and Sea Talk repeater. The radar is a Raytheon R20XX and includes a heading sensor which transmits a magnetic compass heading to the radar and is displayed on screen. The chart plotter is Autohelm C-MAP and is programmed at the nav. station. A plotter repeater is located on the cockpit instrument pod. A SeaTalk repeater conveys position fixes. Aft of this station is the quarter berth. It sleeps two, has a shelf starboard the length of the berth, hanging locker and door for 4 privacy. The mattress has a custom day cover. Lighting is provided by an overhead dome light with a small flexible task lamp for reading. Teak & Holly sole. Guest fold-away fan in salon. Alpine stereo with 2 speakers forward & 2 in salon; Alpine 6-CD changer. The berth cushions are in excellent condition and are all dark blue.
