Jim Taylor’s 40’ design is quite a modern, good looking vessel noted for her easily driven performance that can be handled by a couple.  Her wide beam is carried well aft which helps with the comfortable accommodations below that she boasts. Unique angled bulkheads actually add to the function and good use of the impressive interior. Port and starboard settees along with a stunning table comfortably seat 6 for dinner.  The port settee converts to a double. She’ll sleep 7 between the 6’-10” long center island double forepeak cabin and aft double stateroom and the main salon accommodations. Both the forward and aft cabins have open spaces for standing and lounging. Hanging lockers, shelving, under berth storage and drawers are abundant. There is a large head with separate shower stall located on the starboard side aft of the nav station. There’s lots of storage. There is another “hidden” head in the forward cabin under the small settee between the sink and berth. The nav station is forward facing and will accommodate all the electronics you care to own. The 50+ HP Yanmar diesel is located on the centerline beneath the galley keeping weight midships. The tankage is also in the middle of the hull which contributes a great deal to the sea kindliness and comfort of this vessel while underway.  The galley on the port side has plenty of drawers and storage and has a huge ice box. There are ten SS opening ports and two large fixed ports. And with the chrome dorade vents, circulation is ensured throughout the yacht. The mast is a triple spreader, keel stepped, masthead rig supported by rod rigging. The mast is made of carbon which eliminates weight aloft, causing the boat to heel less which contributes to outstanding performance and comfort and safety. Tighter sheeting angles or widening the slot between the headsail and main is accomplished with inboard and outboard genoa tracks. The 402 cockpit is built for comfort and safety with plenty of places to brace your feet. The large bridge deck prevents flooding of the interior if a wave should board the boat. In short, it’s a cockpit you can depend on when the conditions get tough. This vessel has an impressive and beautiful interior designed for comfort while living aboard and cruising.  But the performance factor makes her a good cruiser/racer should you want to eke out her competitive spirit.  All in all, you will be pleased with however you enjoy this fine vessel.  This is a two-owner, fresh water only vessel.
