Accommodations
When you enter the salon of this classic cruiser, you re met with a beautifully designed and trimmed interior. Home-like comfort begins with the starboard side L-shaped settee with its plush cushions and seating for four adults. It converts into a double berth at night and storage is located beneath the cushions. There is a lot of attention to detail with extras throughout the salon like a well-placed magazine holder by the settee. Another small bench seat is across the companion way and a little counter raises up so you can place drinks and a plate or two there. A movable hi-lo table has sides which raise and lock for extra dining space. The U-shaped galley is forward on port. It has a Force 10 three-burner stove/oven combo, a large Nova Kool refrigerator with separate freezer compartment, a microwave, and oh so much counterspace! A small set of stairs down from the main level takes you to the guest stateroom and guest head. Midway down the stairs is a cubby with a chest freezer. This is especially great for longer voyages. The guest stateroom has two single berths in a bunkbed arrangement, a chest of drawers that also doubles as a night table, a closet, and reading lamps. Take a few stairs to reach the pilothouse with its ship-style helm and chart drawer under the helm. To the rear, a raised bench seats three or more adults comfortably and has a great view and a handy petite cocktail table. This can convert to an additional single berth at night. Port and starboard side doors let you easily access the side decks for ease of docking or just to step outside to enjoy the weather. One of the best features of My Passport is its large master suite in the bow, which is accessed by way of a private staircase from the pilothouse. Its walk-around queen size berth gives this the feeling a true bedroom instead of a v-berth. Two reading lamps are mounted on the wall on both sides of the bed. His and hers hanging lockers and drawers and storage underneath the bed means you don t have to fight for closet space with your partner. The master head is off the suite and has a separate shower stall. In all, My Passport sleeps seven quite comfortably. This is a cozy, cozy vessel that provides comfort for those extra long voyages. Your home away from home
On Deck
The aft deck is large and uncluttered and more than half of it is protected by the salon roof overhang so you can enjoy your deck in all kinds of weather. Come aboard easily by way of her swim deck and port side transom door. If you plan on fishing off My Passport, you will find the transom-mounted fillet table very handy. The side decks are accessible along both sides and are up a couple of steps from the cockpit sole. Strong stainless-steel railing circles nearly the entire boat. Her big, happy bow is excellent for sunbathing on or lounging on while cruising. Perched atop the cabin roof is a dinghy; the Nick Jackson 12-volt davit gets it up and down with ease. If you need to clean the remnants of a day of fishing off My Passport s deck, she has a saltwater wash down system to help with that.
Mechanical
My Passport is very nicely powered by her original 2001 450 horsepower Cummins 8.3 diesel engine. With 6,863 hours on it, this baby has a lot of life ahead. She cruises at 9 knots and has a top speed of 14 knots. She uses about five gallons of fuel per hour and carries 500 gallons of diesel in her two aluminum tanks, meaning you can go quite the distance before needing to refuel. Anchoring is easy with the claw style 20-pound anchor on a Lofrans electric winch with 250 feet of chain. She has a spare Bruce 33-pound anchor. Docking is also easy peasy using her handy bow thruster
Electrical / Electronics
Everything you need for safe and fun cruising comes with My Passport, including a Raytheon R70 radar, Raytheon ST 7000 auto pilot, and Raytheon L760and& Furuno L 6100 depth sounders. For communications, you have an Icom M-127 VHF. Electric wipers are on the port and starboard windshields. Plug her into 30 amp shore power at the dock. She has a Northern Lights diesel generator set with 7,054 hours on it, and a Blue Sea & Outback battery charger, Outback inverter, three 8D start batteries and six house banks. She is ready to go on her first adventure with you.
