American shipbuilding and Engineering allied with Italian design produced this iconic Sports Cruiser. If you compare this design to all the other Sports Cruisers produced since then such as Mangusta, Pershing, and Sunseeker you will understand why certain designs are timeless and cannot be bettered. Look around at all the new boxy designs coming out and be certain that these will not survive the test of time like a Palmer Johnson 120. Size also matters. A Palmer Johnson 120 is more pleasing to the eye than a Palmer Johnson 150 because the design does not lend itself to being elongated. Imagine a stretch lamborghini. It would get a lot of laughs, but not many sales.
The bigger Palmer Johnsons stroke egos but don't make hearts pound like the 120 model. If you are to ever own a PJ 120, you will become a custodian of ultimate design that will forever stay young, and probably you with it.
