Accommodation
With a spacious master with separate shower and toilet cubicles and two double cabins aft with shared shower and toilet, she accommodates six with the option of a seventh in the saloon. The self contained air-conditioned skipper/crew cabin in the forepeak gives added flexibility.
Sailing
Her high performance, fully battened main sail, furling genoa and folding propeller drives her speed with a hull design that sails relatively upright. In light airs, she can match the wind speed and our personal record is 14.4kts on a beam reach in 25kts around the north end of Ithaca into Kioni – the perfect sail.
With all of her sail controls leading back to near the helm position, her self tacking genoa, electric winches and autohelm, short-handed, even single-handed, sailing is viable.
A single line slab reefing system back to the helm position, makes it easy to de-power, typically with a first reef at around 20Kts and a second at around 25kts. We have sailed downwind comfortably, gybing back and forth under full sail at over 28kts and she will sail upwind under full sail at 35kts if you are comfortable with a greater heel.
She has dual carbon wheels each with speed, wind and depth instruments nearby. A 12” colour Chart plotter and AIS receiver is centrally located.
Mooring
The shallow keel (1.98m) enables her to get into small bays. Her 33Kg Rocna anchor gives solid holding and 75m of chain gives plenty of scope in deeper anchorages. The electric windlass with its remote control makes laying and retrieving the anchor simple and easy. While her retractable bow and stern thrusters can move her sideways, spin her on her keel, glide her into narrow berths and hold her in position in cross-winds.
Comfort
For the height of comfort, she has a spacious saloon and dining table that can seat six. One touch “Mood” lighting creates a pleasant ambiance, while indirect, low-level and overhead LED lighting illuminates the saloon, cabins, toilets and showers.
The Corian ™ work surfaces have integrated double bowl sink alongside a front-opening double fridge and a front-opening freezer enabling ice-making, and power behind for a coffee machine and microwave above. There is ample storage space in cupboards and draws throughout – even a wine cellar sunk in the floor. There are 240v UK and Euro sockets throughout.
Electric toilets, immersion heater and an inverter powerful enough to run a hair dryer all add a welcome level of civilisation. Her dual power lines ashore can keep everything running and topped up while her powerful generator gives you the independence from shore facilities to go anywhere.
To aid a good night’s rest, all beds have luxury mattresses and the air conditioning has individual controls for the saloon and for each cabin.
Spray hood and bimini, cockpit cushions, a large, folding table and helm seats provide comfort when sailing or relaxing on deck. The electric bathing platform gives easy access to the water and its remote control allows the platform to be raised for extra security and privacy when stern-to a quay.
Equipment
She has fully equipped galley, an excellent sound system, dingy and outboard, life raft and jackets and all of the necessary equipment to ensure a pleasant life aboard.
