Accommodations
Graciously Accommodating Owner and Guests.
With its 12’4” beam and 6’9” of headroom, the Catalina 387’s interior feels much larger than most boats her size. Many screened-in opening ports and hatches and generous use of teak and ash provide for an extraordinarily light and open feeling below. The air conditioning units with reverse cycle heat ensures that you and your guests will be comfortable in any climate.
Starting forward, the well-ventilated guest stateroom with double berth, large hanging locker and plenty of drawer storage provides a comfortable and private retreat for guests.
The main salon is large and makes full use of the 12'4" beam. Every amenity, feature and accommodation for comfortable cruising for up to seven has been is included. High quality bulkheads, cabinetry, doors and shelves are stylish and easily maintained. Seating features sculpted cushions upholstered in premium Ultra-Leather. The table configurations in the main salon provide the ultimate in versatility. There is an L-shaped settee to port that can interchangeably be set-up with either a small cocktail table or regular dining table. A bench settee to starboard can be converted to dual seats with a table in between.
There is a large, fully-equipped galley to port. A navigation station with chart table is located to starboard.
Continuing aft, the huge master stateroom features a centerline, queen-sized berth with innerspring mattress, two hanging lockers, cedar-lined drawers and large storage bins. The adjacent head compartment features a full stall shower, vanity with sink, electric head and three convenient storage lockers.

Galley

Cockpit, Deck & Hull
A sleek and graceful silhouette belies the interior volume and bigger, more functional cockpit design.
The large cockpit features 9-foot seats, port and starboard, which are unique in a yacht this size. Not only do they make sail trimming an uncomplicated maneuver, but at anchor, provide more than ample room to stretch out or dine in comfort. With the aid of a large, integrated, folding leaf table, cockpit dining is un-cramped, convenient and relaxing. Deep lazarettes, port and starboard, will store all the gear and toys needed at any destination. Aft, a walk-through transom serves as easy entry and exit with two storage lockers and hot water shower conveniently located nearest the water. Built-in stern rail seats, with integrated outboard motor bracket, add yet another aspect to the more than abundant cockpit seating.
The grabrail on the cabin top is neatly recessed so sitting is comfortable; but when you need a convenient handhold, it's easy to find. As an added safety feature, the lifelines are solidly mounted and higher than standard, adding to the comfort zone and the chainplates are inboard, so they're not in the way as you walk around.
The genoa tracks are 12 feet long, so there is plenty of room for adjusting the cars and the tracks are elevated above the deck to keep them out of standing water, minimizing the risk of leaks. Mooring cleats along the rail are likewise elevated. Screws for most deck gear are tapped into metal backing plates bonded into the deck, reducing through-deck holes and the risk of leaks. For safety, items such as mainsheet turning blocks and stanchions are through-bolted.
