September 2020 update: available in the Adriatic.
I NOVA is an explorer vessel with a strong identity thanks to its spatial and functional solutions, interior and exterior design by Cristiano Gatto Design. Her tiered profile presents clearly defining features, but no element stands out in sharp relief. Harmonious balance between aesthetics and functionality was pivotal to Cristiano Gatto's vision, and I NOVA with her outstandingly simplicity, exemplifies this concept. A close look helps appreciate the great care dedicated to the exterior design where all details have been meticulously designed and, at night, a cleverly designed lighting system accentuates such features.
With her robust steel hull and light aluminium superstructure, I NOVA has an overall length of 50m and a large beam of 9.50m accommodating 12 guests, 12 crew and all of the owner’s requirements whilst maintaining elegant yet powerful lines. Reputed companies and institutes such as Marine Hollande Institute, Vripack Naval Architects, Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Scan Vibra cooperated to provide pedigree and finalize the project, bringing Best in Class to completion.
The hull has been reinforced with extra thick steel plates in the bow section, also the propeller shafts, propellers, sea chests, rudders and steering gear systems, as well as the sea water cooling system. All were designed to meet the ABS's requirements for the D0 Ice Class notation.
Powered by twin MTU 16V2000M70 (1050hp at 2100rpm), I NOVA can reach a top speed of 15.6 knots and at a cruising speed of 12 knots has a range of 5500 nautical miles.
