Keel & Rudder:
Rudder blade is made of PVC foam, carbon fiber and epoxy resin; the rudder stock is made of carbon fiber and epoxy resin.
The deepest point of the blade is at 3,5 meters from the waterline.
Rudder is fixed on two self-aligning bearings
Steering system consists in several components. Among them the main ones are: an aluminum quadrant fixed on the rudder stock, a self-aligning aluminum bearing fixed to the deck, a self-aligning aluminum bearing fixed to the hull and two pedestals made in fiberglass and two carbon wheels
Two line systems of steel cables, chains and pulleys connect the quadrant to the wheels hubs.
As these two line systems are independent, they work one as a reserve of the other and it is not necessary to provide an emergency tiller for the rudder.
A hydraulic actuator is connected to the rudder quadrant.
The keel includes a blade and a bulb bolted to the blade.
The blade is made in high strength steel Weldox 700.
The bulb is made in lead.
Engine & Gearboxes:
The main engine (Volvo Penta D4-260, 191 kW @ 3500 rpm) is cooled by a primary (coolant) and a secondary (sea water) system. Heat transfer from the coolant to the sea water is through a heat exchanger; a pump driven by the same engine sucks the sea water directly from the beam of the salt water main manifold.
Also, the sea water in the water-oil heat exchanger cools the lubrication oil of the engine.
The engine and the gearbox (ZF 63 IVE, 1,99:1 forward, 2,03:1 back, 12°) are mounted on vibration damping supports with the aim of reducing the propagation of vibrations to the hull to a minimum.
A sensor is installed on the main engine to detect the temperature of the exhaust gases (San Giorgio SEIN, item nr. TTR 40450).
Propulsion & Steering:
The boat is equipped with a propulsion system that consists of a diesel engine connected to a reduction/reversing unit (V-drive type) that, in turn, transmits power to a three feathering blade propeller
The propulsion system is entirely contained in the engine room situated at the center of the boat.
The propeller (Maxprop Easy 111, 3 blades, diameter 28’’, adjustable pitch) has feathering blades. It works completely automatically: it takes the pitch when the drive shaft is rotated to travel forward or backwards; instead, the propeller feathers when engine is off, starting from the position to travel forward, with the propeller shaft locked.
Bow thruster: Quick BTR2524024, 10 kW, 24 V DC.

On each side of the cockpit there’s a steering pedestal with one carbon wheel each one (Solimar America’s Cup, diameter 1200 mm, 5 spokes.
Other Mechanical Equipment:
The exhaust gas system of the main engine and of the generator is of the wet type; the exhaust gases are mixed with the main engine and generator cooling water at: the exit of the propulsion engine turbine compressor; the outlet of the generator raw water pump.
The injected water reduces exhaust gases temperature, volume and pressure.
This fact causes a substantial reduction of gas velocity and then a considerable reduction of noise emission.
Also, it prevents exhaust gas system damage while the water vapour mixed with the exhaust gases avoids the emission of unpleasant smell.
The mixture of exhaust gases and water vapour is conducted before inside a muffler to reduced further the noise.
After, it is conducted inside a water separator to separate the gases from the water; this reduces the back
pressure dramatically and stops the sploshing noise.
Discharge of the water is through two dedicated outboard discharge seacocks located under the galley floorboard (under the water line).
Discharge of the exhaust gases is through the outboard discharge seacocks located on the aft port boat end (just above the water line).
The exhaust gas plant is made of flexible reinforced PVC hoses with bronze valves; two stainless steel clamps are used at each end of all the hose connections.
There are three electrical system on the boat: one 24 V DC, one 12 V DC, one 220 V AC.
220 V AC and 24 V DC supply all the appliances and some of them are supplied by both systems; the 12 V DC is just for the main engine and generator starters.
The 12 V DC system includes: two batteries, located under the captain cabin floorboard (Mastervolt AGM 12/130, 12 V DC, 120 Ah); a 24 V DC/12 V DC converter, inside the captain cabin wardrobe (Mastervolt Magic 24/12-20, 300 W).
The 24 V DC includes: six lithium-ion type batteries, located under the dinette floorboard (Mastervolt MLi Ultra 24/5000, 24 V DC, 180 Ah).
The 220 V AC is supplied by: the inverter (Mastervolt Sine Ultra 24/4000, 4000 W); the generator (Onan MDKDR, 17,5 kW, 220 V AC @ 50 Hz); the shore power.

The locker inside which the batteries are located is watertight and is protected by a special fire-fighting system (Polytechno Engineering Aerpro, item nr. FP80HS) which is activated automatically as soon as the temperature reaches a certain value.

The boat is equipped with a battery management system that allows you to manage the electrical system on board by means of a remote control.
By pressing the ON button of the remote control, the electrical system powers up with car functionality and at the same time authorizes you as the user of the boat.
When the electrical system is on, just press a button to turn the engine on or off.
An alternator installed on the main engine (Mastervolt Alpha Pro 24/150 MB, 150 A).
An additional alternator is installed on the main engine (Volvo Penta Generator, 24 V DC, 80 A, item nr. 3840183).
The onboard genset is an Onan MDKDR, 17,5 kW, 220 V AC @ 50 Hz.
Switch off the generator pushing the stop button on the touch screen of the navigation system.
In order to avoid flooding the generator motor, a siphon-break valve (Vetus ASD38V) has been installed on the sea water cooling circuit.
The same precaution was adopted for the main engine.
Both siphon-break valves are located inside the engine room.

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:
The water heater (Quick BX 80 12 S, 220 V AC) is located under the central part of the dinette floorboard
Boiler is connected to the main engine cooling system; when the engine is running, the fluid inside the engine cooling system heats up the fresh water inside the boiler by means of a heating coil (remote heating system).
Dockside water supply is through a fitting located in the lazaretto, on the starboard boat side
The water-maker (Schenker, Modular 150 Digital, 220 V AC) is made up various parts: a feed (low pressure) pump, that includes a 5 micron cartridge filter, located under the dinette floorboard, close to entrance stairs.
Centralized bilge pump: Gianneschi ACB 331/1, 24 V DC.
Hand bilge pump: Jabsco Amazon Universal 29270-000 in the cockpit, aft of the left secondary winch.
Hydraulic Oil tank: 15 liters (3 gallons).
Fuel tank (diesel): 2 x 725 liters (159 gallons).
Day fuel tank (diesel): 150 liters (33 gallons).
Fuel day tank pump: Gianneschi CP 20/A2, 24 V DC.

The fuel plant permits loading, transfer and fuel supply to the propulsion engine and the onboard genset.
The plant is made of flexible strengthened rubber hose (CE approved) with brass valves.
Fuel fills the tanks gravity from filling intakes located on the gunwale, amidships, one per side. Close to the filling intakes, there are the plugs of the tank secondary vents.
Fresh water tank: 2 x 315 (69 gallons) + 2 x 465 liters (102 gallons).
Grey/Blackwater holding tanks:
Black water tank: 340 liters.
Gray water tank: 340 liters.
The gas system includes two butane gas cylinders located inside the lazaretto, port boat side.
A vent line joints the lowest point of this locker to overboard, above the waterline, through the scupper seacock located port boat side.
Only one of the two gas cylinders is connected to the system; the other is used for stock purpose.
The working gas cylinder is equipped with an on/off valve and a gas pressure regulator
Another lever operated valve is located at the gas cooker.
The plant is made of copper piping and flexible strengthened rubber hose with brass valves.
On the top of the starboard helm pedestal, there is a dashboard that houses:

Heating & Ventilation:
The Airconditioning (Veco Climma DC65, 65000 Btu/h in cool mode, 70000 Btu/h in heat mode, 220 V AC) is located inside the engine room above the genset; it includes a variable speed compressor by means of an inverter that allows to adapt the power of the machine according to the actual power demand on board.
Each cabin is equipped with a digital control panel (Veco Climma MK2) for fain-coil control and a thermostat for automatic temperature regulation.
The speakers of the audio system (Fusion Signature Series) are located aft of the benches in the cockpit.

The engine room a watertight space separate from the main environment; it contains the main engine, the onboard generator, the fuel day tank, the main engine silencer and exhaust gas/water separator, the genset silencer and exhaust gas/water separator and some components of the other systems.
It is possible to access the engine room by means of: a side door, from the galley; a side access, from the starboard corridor (the access is hidden inside the furniture located in the corridor) and also by lifting the access staircase to the saloon.
The Crew cabin has bunk berths and access to the galley and nav station, with separate heads.
The lazarette is divided into three parts: a starboard locker, one on the left and a central one that functions as a garage for the tender.
It is a watertight space separate from the main environment; also, the central garage is sealed towards the outside.
It can be accessed both from the cockpit hatch and from the transom door; it is a large space with plenty of storage for bulky items.
In addition to the tender, the lazarette contains some system components and the steering system.

The boat is equipped with a new, 2020 Axxon Composites carbon fiber mast, in a standard modulus rather than a high modulus as per the original mast. The new mast is more than capable to withstand all loads from cruising and racing. Three spreaders order (22.2°, 22.2° and 21.9°) and a carbon fiber V-boom.

The chain locker is a non-watertight locker; it self-drains from two holes on side of the hull; contains a fresh water tanks vent; the furler and the windlass electric control units.

Guardwires run along all the perimeter of the boat deck supported by stanchions.
At midship, they are interrupted by two gates, one for each side. Likewise, a handrail closes the cockpit aft.
Both side gates can be opened with pelican closures.
The transom of the boat can be opened to access at the tender garage, load/unload the tender and to use the transom door itself as swimming platform.
Two hydraulic rams (Bamar BSCP 800, stroke 800 mm) move the transom door; to activate them, use the related buttons on the starboard and port pedestals.
The swimming platform is equipped with two ladders, one for bathing and one to going up/down to the deck.
The latter is retractable and hand-operated while the first must be positioned when required.
The ladder for the bathing has two handrails.
Passarelle is 3 meters long, 46 centimeters wide and weighs 17 kilos.
The socket for its fastening is located at the mid-width of the stern.
When not in use, the it is stored installed under the lazarette central hatch.

Two life-rafts Arimar Oceanus C, item nr. 111.008IT, ABS container, for 8 persons each one, are stored inside two cockpit lockers, one on the starboard side, one on the port side of the boat.
Some safety hooking points are installed on the deck: two on the gunwale, one for side, aft of the shroud chain-plates; two on the deck-house, one for side, close the vang.
