Description
M/V “FOLLOWING SEA” has been berthed in Newport Beach, CA for the last thirty years. Always being recognized as a “True Yachtsman” boat. The boat is a perfect example of the genius of the designer Ray Hunt. The original “Moppy" 31 footer because the most famous advancements in hull shape in my lifetime. There is nothing like being on a Bertram going straight into a sea. The ride is very comfortable and extraordinarily dry. At anchorage the vessel is sound, comfortable and one of a kind.

While walking down the gangway this Bertram 56 will grab your attention similar to uncovering a gem, finding a lost treasure, and or discovering the perfect yacht. Very few vessels exude pride of ownership more than this vintage Bertram 56.
In 2020 Twin CAT C7.1 507hp Common Rail were installed and of course a very extensive engine room upgrade. New stringers, through-hulls, hoses, steering, rudders, pumps, fuel lines and fittings, and a full epoxy fiberglass job finished in white Awlgrip white paint.
As you approach the boat the gleam of the finished wood trim around the bow sprit and down the length of the vessel will stop you in admiration. Next noticing the array of different antennas on top of the flybridge hardtop will ping your curiosity on what lies below. Stepping onboard FOLLOWING SEA after deck one must picture themselves at their favorite anchorage lounging under the canopy with your favorite cold beverage in hand. Looking down into the huge cockpit there are two sun lounges and more than enough space for fishing, diving, or bring aboard any of your water toys. Just forward of the aft deck is the flybridge where one can lose their berth in admiration and passion of this vessel. A large L-shaped settee is to starboard with a custom table that can be lowered and made into a berth. Forward is a stainless steel ladder that allows you access to the top of the hardtop. The flybridge is enclosed with polycarbonate windows and a custom aluminum framed glass center window. Two Llebroc helm chairs invite you into the instrumentation panel and operation of the vessel. While viewing this yacht be sure to inspect the electronics electrical installation.” From the aft deck and down a couple of steps you will enter the salon and galley. The view along with the four opening windows insured the simplicity of use and ventilation thought out the salon and galley. The list of features in the specification sheet is endless and must be viewed to truly appreciate it. Next forward and down three steps is the guest stateroom that features two large double berths, with custom layered mattress, along with an abundance of storage, four portlights, and two overhead hatches to ensure ventilation. Next forward is the forward head and a shower before entering the focsle. Aft of the salon is the master stateroom that features two huge double berths with custom foam mattress, four opening portlights, head, and shower. Continuing aft and up three steps is access to the cockpit. Everything on this vessel is in order and ready for your personal inspection. A specification sheet will be provided, while viewing, to ensure that no detail is missed. We have also saved several, ease of operating features, that will surprise the best yachtsman.
