The owner has also recently redone the helm area and modernized the electronics, curtains and soft goods.
For anyone looking to do some pretty day fishing or coastal cruising, this would be an excellent opportunity to get into an affordable, proven ride in the 35-40 foot range. Overview
Reel Angel is a vintage 1969 36 Hatteras Convertible that underwent a total structural restoration by Slane Marine in 2003. Years later in 2021 she was repowered with a set of new reman Cummins 6BTA 5.9L 370 hp motors. The current owner has enjoyed a light fishing and cruising schedule on her and has also made improvements an upgrades over the last several years such as Glendenning Controls, new bridge enclosure, new windlass, new electronics and engine displays, new helm layout, new sea deck style bridge sole material, new gear coolers and more.
It is an affordable and efficient boat, cruising 23 knots and burning around 100 gallons a day out of Oregon Inlet
