Description
"The Alaskan 55 is a heavy displacement, long range diesel seaboat, distinctively styled, offering exceptional facilities for gracious entertaining or a lifetime of luxurious cruising" This description from a 1970's write up says it all. There were only 12 of the A55s built and this is the only on with a factory installed flybridge. Boathouse kept much of her life, Sealestial is ready to take you cruising today! A rare opportunity to own a LOT of passagemaker for the dollar!

Accommodations
The Alaskan 55 was the biggest of the Grand Banks Alaskans. This is not a boat you will feel cramped on. As you step from the back deck into the main salon and galley area you feel the benefit of her generous 17.5 foot beam. To port is a large L-settee and dining table. There are an additional two chairs to round out seating for 6. On the starboard is a large cabinet that contains all the entertainment equipment as well as a diesel fireplace for those chilly winter nights.
Moving forward, you find the U-shaped galley to port and the full-sized refrigerator compartment to starboard. The galley has plenty of counter space, large double stainless sink, upgraded stove and oven with ventilation hood above. There is storage on all sides. From here you can either go up to the pilothouse or down to the sleeping quarters. The pilothouse has a commanding view forward with helm chair and all controls within easy reach. Port and Starboard doors provide access to the walk around decks. There is also a comfortable U-shaped seating area and table as well as a watch berth. The sleeping cabins include the large captain's quarters with ensuite head and shower to port and on the starboard side is the Bunkroom with two berths and ensuite head. Moving forward is the VIP cabin with ensuite head. The VIP and Bunkroom share a shower room.
