Accommodations
The Cal 33 has an open feeling below with two double berths at the ends of the boat creating an unusually airy spacious feeling in this size boat. The engine compartment is beneath the companionway allowing space for a large quarter berth which is open to the main salon and features two opening ports (one outboard and one into cockpit) for ventilation The forward cabin is intended for the owner and features a large v-berth w/filler, storage under the v-berth, drawers, alcoves and shelves, This is an unusually large cabin giving the owner's seclusion away from the navigation station and companionway.To starboard of the passageway leading from the salon to the owner's cabin is the ship's head. Which is very functional, bright,well ventilated and provides ample storage.Opposite is a large hanging locker. In the central part of the boat you will find the dining area, galley and navigation station. The dining table has a folding leaf; the chart table is of proper proportions and can be used while standing or seated on custom stool.The galley is particularly attractive because of its storage capacity. with lockers, dish bins, glass racks and counter space. There is a large ice box,double sink and propane stove.

MAST, BOOM, RIGGING and SAILS
The sailplan is tall and high performance in design and construction. The double spreader rig gives strength to the carefully designed tappered spar. There has been a carefull blend of performance-oriented thinking to keep weight aloft low while insuring a strong mast with good support.
All halyards and the two reefing lines lead aft for easier, faster sail handling from the security of the cockpit.
The reefing lines are reeved inside the boom and exit at the gooseneck to a turning block at the base of the mast. All cabin-top lines are led through line stoppers to maximize winch use.
- Tapered anodized aluminum mast, double spreader, double lower shroud, masthead sloop rig. Anchor light, foredeck light, steaming light.
