ISLA JADE is a very handsome dark green Duffy 35 which was custom-finished by “Mac” Pettegrow in 1988 She is powered with a Detroit 250 hp diesel with only 1194 original hours. The engine has been totally reliable. Many recent upgrades have been done which include a recent total Awlgrip job (Awlgrip paint), new bottom job, new mast, and some new electronics, new head, new Aquadrive system, and much more. ISLA JADE has a large cockpit with aft seating and a Bimini when desired. This is an ideal couples cruising vessel, ready to take you South, or further as you desire. HULL & DECK:
Molded fiberglass, 1.5oz skin coat with vinylester resin, 3 layers Kyntex DBM 2415, Airex core and 2 layers Kyntex dbm 2415, solid keel with 6 layers Kyntex DBM 2415. Epoxy barrier coat below waterline.
Deck and cabin molded fiberglass with Airex and balsa core.
Bronze hardware, portlights and 4 engine room vents.
Awlcraft painted cream cockpit with rubber non-skid; varnished mahogany stern seat with toast-colored cushions and lockers underneath.
Aluminum Freeman cockpit hatch to access bilge storage.
Sunbrella cockpit bimini; 2 cockpit wicker chairs.
Starboard opening door at helm.
Fuel: 200 gallons in two tanks.
Water: 40 gallons in S/S tank.
Holding: 15 gallons with y-valve to deck or overboard - 12V macerator.
Head; Seara QC salt water head with Electro Scan EST12 waste treatment system. 15gal poly holding tank with 12V mascerator pump for overboard discharge, deck pump out, Saniflex hoses. New ceramic tile with flexible grout and resurfaced counters.
Electronics package; Furuno TZT14 MFD display, Furuno PSU-017 radar power supply, Furuno 4Kw 24’ UHD digital Radome, Furuno CHIRP TruECHO sounder module, Furuno NavNet 3D NMEA2000 GPS antenna, dedicated interswitch hub for NavNet 3D, Airmar B265 CHIRP transducer with low and high frequency sets, Icom M424 VHF radio, Simrad AP24 autopilot.
Entertainment; Fusion iPod/AM/FM/Sirius head unit with bose speakers and sub-woofer in salon and cockpit. 19” smart TV on folding bracket in salon (MFD displays on TV while underway). Router and cable box mounted in cabinet below with hidden wiring.
Softgoods; Custom folding mattress, to access storage below, by Portland Mattress. All curtains, settee, pillows, and stern seats by Onboard Interiors.
Custom antenna mast with base plate for easy removal for transport, KVH TracVision dome for future HD antenna, new dual horn. Custom leather helm chair.
Complete exterior refit by JW Boat Company; soda blast bottom and reapply epoxy barrier coat, replace spray rails with new, remove and re-bed all exterior hardware, replace toe-rails with new black PVC, new bronze chocks for spring lines, new bronze rod holders, all new windows by Wynne industries with powder coated aluminum frames to match pilothouse, replace headliner in salon and cabin with thru-fasteners for future removal of grab rails, new Bomar Aluminum forward hatch, Awlgrip hull with custom green Awlcraft and red boot stripe, Awlgrip pilothouse and cabin sides in Light Ivory, Awlgrip decks in Moon Dust, apply new Lewmar non skid to washdeck and cockpit, new propane locker, new name and hail, apply 7 coats exterior varnish and 2 coats interior, install new charger/inverter.
Exterior brightwork by Kittery Point Yacht Yard; strip, stain and build with 8-9 coats Epifanes varnish all exterior grabrails, frames and mahogany trunk cabin sides. Added 2 maintenance coats in August of 2020.
Replace main heat exchanger and both oil coolers with new. Flush engine antifreeze and replace with Fleetguard for Detroit Engine. Drain and replace hydraulic oil.
ENGINE & MECHANICAL:
Single Detroit Allison 8.2 250 hp diesel, FWC, with approximately 1194 hours.
Turbo-charged engine but not aftercooled.
Borg Warner transmission with Aquadrive anti-vibration system.
2017 replaced stuffing box and cutlass bearing.
1 ¾” shaft.
Installed twin Racor 500 fuel filters with vacuum gauge and moved them to centerline.
2021 installed 2 new oil coolers and new heat exchanger on main engine and flushed engine with Detroit antifreeze.
26 x 22 LH 4 bladed prop.
Engine room is well insulated with 4” insulation and hatches to access all engine space.
Wet exhaust exits the transom.
Panish single lever engine controls.
Hydraulic steering with bronze spoked wheel.
Halon fire extinguishing system (not recently checked).
12V-110V DC & AC electrical system.
2-8D AGM house batteries; one new 2015 and one in 2019.
1-8D AGM engine start battery – with combiner switches.
AC-DC circuit breaker panel.
Volt and amp meters.
Fuel and water tank gauges.
High water alarm.
Two Rule bilge pumps and shower sump.
New Freedom 2055 -charger.
Walter LPG hot water heater – not operating (sold AS IS).

For four in an elegant, varnished cherry interior. New headliner for soundproofing was recently installed.
Chain and rode locker forward.
Next the forward cabin, with a queen-sized full berth with a custom-mattress, varnished hull ceiling, 3 drawers under berth, and reading lights, with a new hatch overhead.
Next aft are two large hanging lockers.
To port is a large enclosed head with sliding door. The head includes a ceramic tiled floor and counter, ceramic sink, shower and large mirror. Storage is behind the new Raritan electric head. There is a 12V macerator to pump directly overboard, or y-valves to go into holding tank or up through the deck.
Up three steps is the main salon with helm console to starboard with an adjustable up and down helm seat, and side door to side deck.
To port is the galley which includes a Force 10 LPG stove and oven, deep S/S sink with pressure water, and a Norcold under the counter refrigerator-freezer.
Next aft if a settee and drop leaf dining table which converts to a double berth.
Opposite is a large counter with storage under, and TV which is over and drops down when being used.
There is a varnished teak and holly sole, covered by a beige-tweed rug. There are also beige curtains in the salon.
Ventilation is provided by two opening salon windows to port, 1 window to starboard, and one opening windshield.
