Description
Step aboard this beautifully maintained 2003 Hallberg-Rassy 31, a true gem from one of the most respected names in bluewater cruising.
Designed by Germán Frers, the HR 31 is a capable and elegant cruiser — perfect for coastal adventures or offshore passages, all in comfort and style.
In 1972 Harry Hallberg and Christoph Rassy merged their boatyard operations to become Hallberg-Rassy, building a long series of quality boats by top designers including Olle Enderlein and Germán Frers. Hallberg-Rassys have always been very expensive new, and for many sailors represent the ideal cruising yacht.
The Hallberg-Rassy 31 was designed in 1993 by Germán Frers, as a fractionally lighter but significantly beamier replacement for the long-running Enderlein and Rassy designed HR312.
The Hallberg-Rassy 31 remained in production for a remarkable 16 years, being prized for their quality, seaworthiness, and elegance. before being replaced in late 2009 by the Hallberg-Rassy 310, which was actually slightly smaller and lighter, with a lower ballast ratio.
The Hallberg-Rassy 31 was built in the Mk I version until 2005, and from 2006 onwards was built as the Mk II. There are only minor differences between the two versions, the biggest change being a twin-spreader rig of lighter section in the Mk II.
A quality cruising yacht, 'Silver Shamroclk' has all the features of the larger Hallberg-Rassys in a small package - fixed windscreen, teak decks, beautiful mahogany internal joinery and solid build quality.
Sailors in the know don’t ask why Hallberg-Rassy — they ask which one.
'Silver Shamrock' is the perfect balance of elegance, performance, and rock-solid build quality. Small enough to be nimble and manageable solo, yet built with the same pedigree and detail as her larger sisters, this yacht is your gateway to distant horizons or unforgettable weekends away.
