This 2005 Albemarle 248 XF is in Excellent shape, shows very well and is super clean! She's powered with a Volvo Penta 270 HP-5.0 with a duo-prop outdrive. This vessel has always been professionally maintained mechanically and cosmetically. The Albemarle 248 Express Fisherman is one of the best riding boats in it's class. It has a transom fish box, livewell, fresh and raw water washdown, electric windlass and cockpit spreader lights. She's equipped with a Garmin GPS, Compass and a VHF radio. The cabin has a typical convertible V- berth with plenty of storage underneath the cushions and converts to a standard double for those times you need a rest or a quick overnighter on the hook. It has an electric marine head, fresh water sink and rod storage. To make the transition from a typical cuddy to the express, Albemarle raised the foredeck and delivered much more headroom and space to the cabin compartment. This is a much more modern design and turned a small space into a room you expect to find on larger boats of the same class. They also raised the curved windshield to provide more protection to the cockpit riders along with the isinglass. This will definitely keep you dry in the heavy chop. The 248 Express Fisherman handles with ease taking heavy chop. It has a sharp entry and 24 degree deadrise that smooths out the heavy chop without the heavy pounding. The Jackshaft Power System moves the engine forward in the centerline and eliminates the squat you have to overcome coming out of the hole. At 3000 rpms she cruises along at 20.5 mph burning only 7.5 gallons per hour. She is out of the hole in just over 5 seconds. Albemarle's 248 Express Fisherman is a good choice for individuals and families looking for a boat that can run offshore, as well as inshore for fun and games with the kids and friends. The 248 is a solidly built boat which will bring you years of fishing and cruising pleasure.
