Description
Though she's only 31' LOA this feels like a much bigger boat, both sailing and at the dock: The modern hull shape is easily driven but has a high ballast ratio and low aspect sail-plan to keep her on her feet in typical Bay conditions. And In-mast furling, an traveler overhead on the arch, sheet winches back by the helm, a fractional rig and a roller furling jib make her easy to sail either single- or short-handed.
And back at the dock, she has the biggest cockpit you'll ever see on a boat this size! Not to mention a clean, streamlined interior that's also SURPRISINGLY spacious and bright--the forward cabin is noticeably larger other boats of this class (achieved by adjusting the forward hull shape) with a private cabin aft. And 6'4 headroom throughout!
This particular professionally maintained example is well equipped and shows very nicely both below and topsides. Note the well designed and executed heavy duty dodger with like new canvas (and grab rails both back and sides), new main sail 2020, new jib 2017, last hauled and bottom painted in 2022, Yanmar diesel was inspected and serviced and had all belts, wiring harness and control panel replaced in 2023,

V berth with insert forward, step aft to salon with stright settee and nav table port side, centerline drop leaf table and L shaped settee starboard.
Continue aft to head port side, centerline companionway, the galley starboard, far aft starboard is second stateroom with queen berth set atwartship under the cockpit.
Note interior very spacious for this size boat (as is the cockpit, Hunter's have always been know for their effective use of space), 6'+ headroom throughout, interior in REAL nice shape...

Sails and Rigging
Sloop rig with fractional forestay, deck stepped with compression post double spreader aluminum mast with internal furling main sail, aluminum boom with Seldon rigid boomvang and Harken mainsheet and traveller. 110% jib on Furlex roller furler, all lines lead aft thru seven Spinlock rope clutches, four Lewmar #30 self tailing winches.
Deck and Hull
FRP laminate hull with bolted-on fin keel with internal iron ballast, and spade rudder with wheel steering. Delta anchor on bow roller with chain and line rode, seven mooring cleats, stainless steel stanchions with double lifelines, canvas looks great on heavy duty dodger with grab rails back and sides.
Last hauled and bottom painted late May 2022 at which time the thru hulls were inspected and lubricated, keel bolts checked and torqued, diver cleans bottom on regular basis and teh topsides are washed monthly/
Engine and Mechanical
Fresh water cooled Yanmar 3YM20 three cylinder diesel with Hurth transmission, 1' stainless steel shaft thru bronze struts to two blae prop.
