A true racer/cruiser with full amenities and designed by Bruce Farr, the sophisticated Beneteau First 40 does an excellent job of combining a fast and sea worthy hull shape with a very stylish and accommodating interior. This model won the 2010 Sailing World Crossover Boat of the Year award for good reason! Elation was outfitted with full OEM cruising equipment and manufacturer's options when she was first ordered, cruising the Caribbean for several years, including full, all cabin AC, roller furling, dodger, bimini, lazy jacks, an extra water tank, and VCR. The current owner, since 2015, moved the boat to RI with the aim to race her competitively, so Elation was converted to a racing boat with state-of-the-art sails, electronics, rigging and other equipment. This knowledgeable and meticulous owner has spared no expense in keeping the boat in excellent condition and continuously upgraded. She is in impeccable condition.
Interior is a beautiful Nauta design featuring Alpi Blond oak furniture and woodwork with Parquet type laminated flooring.
