- ACCOMMODATION AYNI was conceived with a three guest cabin layout to offer the Owner and guests the maximum comfort and functionality possible in a performance cruising vessel of her size. The Owners suite is L-shaped, with the addition of a small owner’s lounge adjoining to port (and making therefore the most generous Owner’s cabin of all the 885 configurations available), and provides an owner with ample space for comfortable extended cruising with guests or owner live aboard. In addition the Owner’s lounge has a large sofa which can be made up as a bed for occasional use when required, providing a total of 8 guest berths for use when at maximum guest capacity, or 6 berths in normal cruising mode with no extras.
The two further guest staterooms are also comfortable, and each has its own ensuite bathroom. The forward guest cabin features a double berth, while the aft guest stateroom has a twin configuration, with a Pullman bunk to sleep 3 guests as necessary.
The main saloon is, unusually for the 885 series, full beam, and also benefits from being on a single level, without steps or multiple level platforms as on other 885 models. Oversized port and starboard portholes, large wraparound windows and overhead deck hatches provide the interior here with plenty of natural light.
The interior is accentuated by the warmth of the hand rubbed quarter sawn teak panels and crown cut teak timber, with tasteful leather soft goods which radiate warmth and elegance. AYNI also features the Oyster 885 upgraded deck house, providing extra headroom (nearly 8’) and increased interior light throughout this upper part of the interior, giving the feeling of being on a much larger yacht.
The crew area is equally generous and easily closed off from guest view. There is a fully equipped commercial galley, engine room access, and two crew cabins, each with ensuite heads that can between them comfortably accommodate 4 crew members. The Captain’s cabin is a comfortable double, while the crew cabin is twin bunks, both a good length for even the tallest crew member to sleep comfortably. Maximum crew is therefore 4 if there is a couple in the crew, or 3 if all the crew are single.

- COMMENTS AYNI is an excellent example of the Oyster commitment to quality, comfort and sailing performance and represents a genuine bluewater cruising yacht capable of circumnavigating the globe in great comfort and safety. As hull number 8 of the Oyster 885 series, Ayni is the beneficiary of many refinements which set her apart from her predecessors and showcase Oyster’s desire to improve and refine each yacht during the design and build. The highly desirable L-shaped owner’s suite and an expansive full beam main saloon are good examples of this process of improvement. A carbon fibre mast and boom, twin rudders, bowsprit with code zero capabilities, a spacious stern platform and the recessed tender well are all innovations not normally to be found on a blue water cruising yacht under 100 feet.
The only 885 to possess a full beam lower saloon (like the 825's), AYNI is a real owner’s boat. Rather than packing in as many cramped cabins as will fit in the space, she opts for three more spacious and comfortable cabins, and an Owner’s suite that an Owner might actually want to spend time in, rather than merely sleep.
Another unique feature about AYNI is the fact she has nearly 8ft of headroom in her main salon by virtue of her full beam layout as well as the improved raised deckhouse design. When heeled over in sailing mode the views from below through the superstructure windows are simply superb.
The sailing performance pedigree and usage of hi-tech materials and innovation that AYNI and the Oyster 885 offer is also unique in the cruising yacht market. A genuine superyacht in a smaller and more manageable size and packed with proven technology, AYNI and her guests will be equally comfortable crossing oceans, anchored in a secluded tropical mangrove or competing in an offshore rally or onshore regatta. She is the Swiss army knife of pocket superyachts.
Always maintained regardless of cost by her single owner from new, Ayni shows extremely well and viewing is highly recommended.
