A passionate yachtsman and water sport enthusiast, Wim van der Valk founded the company that bears his name in 1967 and remains the driving force behind it today. Since its inception, Van der Valk has built a rich heritage in both steel and aluminium motor yachts. The success of the first cabin and aft-cabin design cruisers measuring from seven to ten metres quickly attracted widespread acclaim from the yachting public.
Today, Van der Valk’s production facilities in Waalwijk (NL) produce only a select number of bespoke yachts every year. This ensures unrivalled quality and exclusivity for individual owners. Each and every yacht benefits from the strictest quality control and a first-rate construction process. Only after intensive sea trials and quality control procedures can boats leave the yard for delivery to their new owners.
Van der Valk owes its ongoing success over the decades to an unwavering dedication to key values such as reliability, cooperation and a forward-thinking approach. As a family-run company with a pedigree that spans generations, Van der Valk understands the value of keeping one’s word and creating yachts that stand the test of time. They abide by agreements made with customers, suppliers and staff; building yachts which function equally as well as they look. Partners and buyers are considered as family members – and this is reflected in excellent relationships and many repeat clients.
Expertly blending the finest seagoing qualities of the Explorer with the comfort, style and elegance of a truly modern superyacht, the Van der Valk Pilot 26m is an entirely new, fresh and thoroughly exciting yacht design.
A wide range of exciting adaptations are possible. You might, for instance, add a gym in the aft area or perhaps extend the saloon aft to expand the socialising space and create an extensive dining area.
With a 4.90 metre multifunctional swimming platform (including the option for an Opacmare Transformer), a crane for a large tender and space for the latest toys, the main deck is the place to be for guests. Launch the tenders and you have a fully fledged beach club area with a relaxing terrace.
A wealth of indoor space includes a well appointed lounge with floor to ceiling windows. The full beam stateroom forward offers sumptuous sea views and total privacy. Stairs lead up to the pilothouse and down to the guest suites, while the crew have a separate stairwell connecting their mess to the galley. The stern area is kept free for owner activities.
The owners stateroom on the Van der Valk Pilot 26m is situated on the main deck whilst, the guest accommodations consist of two twin cabins with ensuite bathrooms and in addition there are two spacious VIP suites. Two comfortable double crew cabins are located in a distinct area with bathroom, mess and separate stairwell.
An elevated pilothouse provides striking views as well as a great socialising space centred on a U-shaped settee. There is a direct exit from the wheelhouse to the flybridge deck, which comprises an outdoor helm position and co-pilot seat, a large wet bar to port, and a spacious sunbathing zone.
The majority of outdoor spaces are covered by an elegant hardtop, and further shade comes from a convertible canvas awning to ensure plenty of seating choices whatever the weather. An additional U-shaped settee amid a dining/lounge area to starboard ensures there is space for everyone.
A full range of options are available. This includes a variety of mechanical, plumbing and electrical options, helm, navigation and electronics alternatives, and a comprehensive range of finish materials, textures and colours. The Pilot can be built in any size between 76-132 ft (23-40m).
This boat can be semi-customised or fully customised to create a bespoke and personal yacht at your request.
